Answer:

a=-y and b=x

explanation:

ax/b - by/a = a+b......(1)

ax-by =2ab......(2)

cross multiply (1)

a²x-b²y/ab=(a+b)

a²x+b²y=(a+b)ab

a²x+b²y=a²b+ab².......(3)

multiplying (2) by b

abx - b²y=2ab²........(4)

subtract (3)&(4)

a²x-b²y=a²b+ab²

-(abx-b²y=2ab²)

therefore it becomes

a²x-abx=a²b-ab²

ax(a-b)=ab(a-b)

ax=ab

b=x

substituting b=x in (2) we get

ax -xy = 2ax

-xy=ax

a=-y
