ax+by =1 --- (1)
bx+ay = 1----(2)
Multiply equation 1 by b and equation 2 by a
abx+b square y = b ---(3)
abx + a square y=a ---(4)
equation 3 minus equation 4
abx+b square y - (abx + a square y)= b -a
abx+b square y - abx - a square y= b -a
b square y - a square y= b -a
y (b square - a square) = b -a
y = b-a/(b square - a square)
y= b-a/ (b+a)(b-a)
y= 1/b+a,by substituting the value of y=1/b+a in equation (1) you will get x= 1/b+a
