x-y = 1 ...... eq (i)

2x+y = 5 ..... eq (ii)

(2m-5)x - my = 3 .......eq (iii)

adding eq (i) and (ii)

we get 3x = 6

x = 2

substitute the value of x in eq (i), we get

y = 1

now substitute the value of x and y in eq (iii)

(2m-5) (2) - m(1) = 3

4m - 10 - m = 3

3m = 13

m = 13/3
