Ayden had a goal of finishing painting at least 80% of the 500 square meters of a house's walls by today. He actually finished painting 415 square meters today.
Did Ayden meet his goal? Why?

80%of 500=80/100*500=400m^2
And he paint 415 m^2 then he paint more than his goal.So,Ayden meet his goal.

Ayden has met his goal of painting house's walls.

Step-by-step explanation:

Total Area to be painted = 500 square meters

Total Area Finished Painting = 415 square meters

Percentile Goal to achieve painting  = 80%

We need to find whether he achieved his goal or not.

Area to be covered to achieve goal can be calculated by Percentile Goal to achieve painting multiplied by Total Area to be painted and then divide by 100.

framing in equation form we get;

Area to be covered to achieve goal = \frac{80}{100}\times 500 = 400 \ ft^2

Since Total Area which has been Finished in Painting is greater than  Area to be covered to achieve goal.

Hence We can say Ayden has met his goal of painting house's walls.
