Greenwoods Sr. Sec. School, Ludhiana celebrated Teacher’s Day with zeal and zest on September 5, 2018. There was an unusual excitement in the school atmosphere which was quite contagious. The students of classes XI & XII took over the duties of the teachers for the day. A special morning assembly was held in which the students paid homage to their teachers through poems and speeches. The Principal, Mrs. R. Jain, addressing the entire school, lauded the entire staff for their exemplary contribution to the school’s phenomenal success. There was a special celebration for teachers which included games with many prizes followed by a grand lunch. The Principal, Mrs. R. Jain appreciated the sincerest efforts of the teachers in playing a catalytic role in the holistic development of every student. Addressing the teachers on the occasion, Mr. O.P. Sharma, the Chairman & Mrs. Meenakshi Sharma, the Director extolled the role of teachers in a student’s life.
Kamarpukur, 6th September: Yesterday our school gave a grand reception to the respected teachers on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, the auspicious occasion of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s birthday. The students of class XI and XII arranged the whole programme. They beautifully decorated the Hall of the school with flowers and garlands. To make the day special the senior students took the classes upto class X and gave rest to our teachers. They also organised a cultural function. The function started at 12.30 p.m. and continued for 2 hours. The function started with a dance performance by the students of class VI. Then the musical band of our school performed on the stage. The students of class X showed their talents through mimicry of the teachers. The teachers felt that this programme was a treat to watch. Renowned teachers, present and retired, of the area were among the dignitaries present.
