Question :

  • Find the length of the hypotenrese of a right triangle the other two sides of which
  • measure 24cm and 10cm.

Given :

  • One side of a right triangle = 24 cm

  • Second side of a right traingle = 10 cm.

To find :

  • The hypotenuse of a right triangle.

Solution :

By using Phytagorean theorem ,

⇒ a² + b² = c²

Let a be 24 cm and b be 10 cm

⇒24² + 10² = 676

⇒26²

Therefore, the hypotenuse of a right triangle is 26².

Answer:

h^2 = l^2 + p^2

h^2=(24×24) +(10×10)

h^2=576+100

h^2=676

h=√676

h=26 CM
