B.A bullet is moving at a speed of 367 m/s when it embeds into a lump of moist clay. The bullet penetrates for a distance of 0.0621 m. Determine the acceleration of the bullet while moving into the clay. (assume a uniform acceleration.)

hey guys this is ur answer

The speed of bullet, u: 367m/s

The distance traveled before the
stop, S: 0.0621 m

Assume that ‘a’ is the
acceleration of bullet so the equation would be, if bullet comes to rest,

v^2 = u^2 +2aS

0 = 367^2 + 2a x 0.0621

a = -1094452.5 m/s^2

so the negative sign denotes that
the acceleration is directed opposite to the motion of bullet.
