b) A car moves with a speed of 40 km/hour for 15 minutes and then with a speed of
60 km/hour for the next 15 minutes. The total distance covered by the car is:
i) 100 km
ii) 25 km
iii) 15 km
iv) 10 km​

=> 1st case,

=> Speed = 40 km/hr

and time taken = 15 min = 15/60 = 0.25 hr

=> So, distance = 25 × 40 = 10 km

=> Case 2nd,

=> Speed = 60 km/hr

=> Time taken = 15 min = 0.25 hr

=> So, distance travelled = 0.25 × 60 = 15 km

=> So, total distance = 15 + 10

=> 25 km

Options (ii) is correct answer.
