and 72 per cent of a metal by weight. 3 atoms
of metal combine with 2 atoms of nitrogen.

28% of the compound weighs 2×14=28( atomic mass of nitrogen)

so divide the rest which is 72 into 3 parts 72÷3=24 for each because there are three metal atoms

the answer would be magnesium whose atomic weight is 24
