pieces of tiles. The sides of each piece of tile are 28 cm, 15 cm
and 41 cm. Find the cost of polishing the tiles at Rs 1.50 per
sq. cm.

s= a+b+c/2

s=28+15+41/2

s= 84/2=42

by herons formula

area =√s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)

area= √42(42-28)(42-15)(42-41)

area=√42(14)(27)(1)

area =√15876

area= 126cm^2

area of 16 tiles = 16×126=2016cm^2

cost = 2016×1.50

=3024
