(i) Work obtained = 12,500J

(ii) Mechanical advantage = 8

(iii) Efficiency of machine = 80%

Explanation:

Given :-  V.R = 10

Distance moved by load d_{L} = 5m

L = 2000N                           E = 1250N

(i) W = Effort × d_{E}

and , d_{E} = V.R × d_{L}

             = 10 × 5 = 50m

Therefore, (i) W = 250× 50 = 12,500 J

(ii) M.A = load/effort = 2000/250 = 8

now,

(iii) Efficiency of machine (η) = M.A/V.R

                                               = 8/10

                                               = 0.8

                                               = 80%
