Answer:

    0

Explanation:

Change in momentum = mv - mu

where  m - mass = 150g = 0.15Kg

           v - final velocity = 20m/s

           u - initial velocity = 20m/s

Change in momentum = mv - mu

= m (v - u)

= 150 (20 - 20 )

= 150 × 0

= 0

∴ there is no change in momentum

Answer:

We know that Force = Impulse / Time

Impulse = mass * change in velocity

Time = 0.01s

Mass m = 150g

             = 1.5 x10^-1 kg

Change in velocity = Final - Initial Velocity = 20 - (-20) =40 m/s

Therefore,

Force = mass * change in velocity / time

= 1.5 X 10^-1 X 40 / 0.01

= 15 X 40

= 600

Average force on the Ball is 600N
