Soundwave needs to travel 167m to the building and back for echo to be heard.

∴ 2d = 167 × 2 m = 334m

Speed of sound = 334 ms-1 t

so, to travel 334m it will take:

time = dist/vel. = 334m/334ms-1 = 1 second
