Answer:

We know that F = ma

case 1st when force is applied on 16kg block

moving with acc. 3m/s²

so use F= ma

plug the values of a and m

F = 16×3 => 48N

now same force is applied on body of mass 24 Kg

so

again plug the values in the formula

we get

48 = 24 × a'

so a' = 2 m/s² { note it will be retardation since the force is opposing the motion.

Answer:

Given,

Mass of body=16kg

Acceleration of body=3m/s^2

We know that,

Force=mass × acceleration

Force=16×3

Force=48 N

NOW,

Force=48N

Mass=24kg

Again,

Force=mass × acceleration

Acceleration=48/24

Acceleration=2 m/s^2

Thus,

Force on first body=48N

Acceleration of second body=2m/s^2

Hope it helps you.
