b) An object of mass 16 kg is moving
with an acceleration of 3 m/s2
Calculate the applied force. If the
same force is applied on an object of
mass 24 kg, how much will be the
acceleration? (Ans: 48 N, 2 m/s2)

Answer:

48 N, 2m/s²

Explanation:

Given:

Mass (m) = 16kg

Acceleration (a) = 3m/s²

We know that,

⇒ F = ma

∴ F = 16 * 3

      =  48N

Now we have,

Mass (m₂) = 24 kg

⇒ F = ma

⇒ 48 = 24 *a

∴ a = 48/24

     = 2m/s²

I do hope that this helps you, mate!
