2. Pitch matters upon frequency not loudness.Whistle has higher pitch because the air columns in the whistle vibrate more number of times than the stretched membrane in the case of drums.

3.Pitch and Frequency difference:

• Frequency is a physical aspect of a sound and can be measured objectively. example: microphone and an oscilloscope.
• Pitch is a percept of a sound and can only be measured subjectively; It's able to adjust one sound so that its pitch is the same/double/half the pitch of a reference sound.

4."Sound quality" or "timbre" describes those characteristics of sound which allow the ear to distinguish sounds which have the same pitch and loudness.

• Timbre is mainly determined by the harmonic content of a sound and the dynamic characteristics of the sound such as vibrato and the attack-decay envelope of the sound.
