The answer is..

B+C=2x/3

B-C=x/3

___________

2B=2x/3+x/3. ( +C-C will cancel)

2B=3x/3

B=x/2

For C

B-C=x/3

x/2-C=x/3

x/2-x/3=C

3x-2x/6=C

x/6=C

Therefore, B=x/2 & C=x/6...
