(b) Deciding on a career is a very difficult choice that every student is confronted with.
Unfortunately, our institutions are lacking in competent educational counsellors who can guide
the children properly. Write a letter to the Editor of a national daily in 120-150 words about the
problem, suggesting ways to improve the situation.

Letter to the editor about the lack of education counsellors.

Subject - Lack of educational counsellors in the institution.

Sir,

I am a student of class XII, highly confused in regards to my studies. Due to the absence of guidance as per my queries, I was never able to make the correct choice in my studies.

A large number of children do not know their potential and end up choosing subjects according to parental pressure. This makes them lose interest in studies and ends them with 9 to 5 job, rather than contributing to country's success.

My institute, just like other educational institutions, lacks educational counsellor. This is an important issue that needs to be highlighted, to secure the future of the upcoming generation.

To improve the situation, there should be educational counsellors in every schools and college. There should be complete privacy concerning interactions of student and counsellor.

Thank you,

Yours truly,

Golu.
