The line " And this is my country as much as it is yours " states that , the speaker or the poet is telling someone that a country ( which they both are belonging to ) is equally his like it is for the poet. The poet also tells that , they both have equal rights on their country . This also summarises that , everyone has rights to support, love and develop their countries . This kind of situation occurs during the period of riots due to fanactism or in a political situation . So , we should love our country and its people , and also try to make it better than other countries .
