(i) beat around the bush- (Meaning-talking in an unclear manner) I do not like it when people beat around the bush instead of talking in a straightforward way.

(ii) a storm in a teacup- (Meaning- overreacting to an unimportant thing/action) The political party's main issue of  the pavements not being painted, is really a storm in a teacup.  

 

(iii) feather in the cap- (Meaning- adding to one’s achievements) Winning the gold medal at the national level was another feather in the cap for him.

 

(iv) out of the box- (Meaning- creative) We hired her because she had some amazing out of the box ideas on how to make our *project successful.

 

(v) bury the hatchet- (Meaning- to end a fight and be friends/on good terms) When the dog died, the Sharmas and the Kapoors buried the hatchet and mourned his death together.
