SOLUTION

TO DETERMINE

The result when subtract the sum of 3 – 5x and

– 5x and-x² + 2x + 5 from the sum of 4 + 3x and 5 - 4x + 2x²

EVALUATION

STEP : 1

The sum of 3x² – 5x and -x² + 2x + 5

 =  \sf{3 {x}^{2}  - 5x -  {x}^{2} + 2x + 5  \: }

 =  \sf{2 {x}^{2}  - 3x + 5  \: }

STEP : 2

The sum of 4 + 3x and 5 - 4x + 2x²

 \sf{ = 4 + 3x + 5 - 4x + 2 {x}^{2}  \: }

 =  \sf{ 9 - x + 2 {x}^{2} \: }

STEP : 3

Hence the required result

 \sf{  =(9 - x + 2 {x}^{2})  - (2 {x}^{2}  - 3x + 5) \: }

 \sf{  =9 - x + 2 {x}^{2}  - 2 {x}^{2}   +  3x  -  5\: }

 \sf{  =2x + 4\: }
