Commercial unit of energy is B.O.T. (Board of Trade) or kWh (kilowatt hour). The standard value of 1kW is 1000 watts and an hour is 60 seconds multiplied by 60 minutes which gives us the value of 3600 watt.

So when we multiply 1000 with 3600 we get 3600000Ws which also called as 3600000J.
