Explanation:

R1=1ohm

R2=2ohm

R3=3ohm

the resistance in series

Rs=R1+R2+R3

   =1+2+3

    =6

the resistance in parallel

1/Rp=1/R1+1/R2+1/R3

    =1/1+1/2+1/3

1/Rp=6+3+2 /6

      =11/6

Rp=6/11
