according to sentence,

2(x+y)^2/2+2(x-y)^2/2=0

here 2 gets cancelled and ,

(x+y)^2+(x-y)^2=0

x^2+y^2+2xy+x^2+y^2-2xy=0

here -2xy and +2xy gets cancelled

2x^2+2y^2=0

now take 2 as common then,

2(x^2+y^2)=0

x^2+y^2=0 is the algebraic expression
