Let ,  the distance  travelled by A is 's' meters .

and , the time taken to travel that distance is 't' seconds.

then , the velocity of A is , s/t = V₁

According to the question ,

the distance travelled by B is (3/4)s meters.

and , the time taken by B to cover that distance is t/2 seconds.

then, velocity of B is , (3/4)s/(1/2)t = (3/2)(s/t) = (3/2)V₁ = V₂

∴ V₁ : V₂ = 2 : 3
