Explanation: If forces are acting on the same direction then add them and if they are acting in opposite directions then subtact them.

Provided that:

  • Rohan and Sohan pushing the trolley at the same time from same directions.

  • Both of them are applying a force of 15 N on the trolley.

To calculate:

  • The resultant force on the trolley.

Solution:

  • The resultant force = 30 N

Required solution:

→ Resultant force = Force A + Force B

→ Resultant force = 15 N + 15 N

→ Resultant force = 30 Newton

Therefore, resultant force = 30 N

Additional information:

Force: Push and pull on any object is known as force. Force can be also define as the push or pull on an object that have mass that cause the change in velocity of the object.

Force effects:

1. Force can move a stationary object.

2. Force can stop a moving object.

3. Force can make the change in the size of the object.

4. Force can make the change in the shape of the object.

5. Force can make the change in the speed of the object.

Types of force: There are two types of force that are balanced force and unbalanced force. \:
