(b) (i) Area of a table top is 624 sqm. If the breadth is 12 m, find
its length in metre and in centimetre.
(ii) What is area? What is the formula for the area of a
triangle?

Explanation:

(i) Area of rectangle=l×b

624 = l×12

l = 624/12

l = 52 m

Hence length of the table top is 52m and 5200cm

(ii) The area can be defined as the space occupied by a flat shape or the surface of an object.

Formula of area of triangle= 1/2*b*h

Where b is base of the triangle

and h is the height ofvthe triangle.
