• In the first exercise, you need to change the voice of the sentence from active to passive. To do so you need to understand what voice the sentence is in. This sentence is a bit tricky however once you separate the sentences into two you will be able to easily change the voice. Keep in mind all the necessary changes in tense, modals, and more.
• To change a sentence to negative you need to not just add a 'not' you need to be able to change it in a grammatically correct way. For this sentence you need to add an additional 'had' before not so that you are able to make the sentence grammatically correct.
• Finally, to change the mode of narration you are basically converting direct speech into indirect speech. You are trying to report what was said to another person. In this case, you need to be able to not just blend the first part of the sentence but also the dialogue in a cohesive way. Keep in mind all the changes in tense, modals, times, pronouns, and more.
