Let theta = A,

=> cos^2(A) = 1

=> cos^2(A) = 1/4

=> cos(A) = 1/√2

=> cos(A) = cos(π/4)

=> A = π/4

Therefore, tan(A) = tan(π/4)

= 1

Hence, tan(theta) = 1

4 cos^2(∅) = 1

cos^2(∅) = 1/4

cos(∅) = 1/√2 = cos(π/4)

=> ∅ = π/4

Therefore,

tan(∅) = tan(π/4) = 1
