WE KNOW THAT

x-3=0

x=3

putting the value of x in the equation

2x^2+x+k=0

(2×3)^2+3+k=0

6^2+3+k=0

36+3+k=0

39+k=0

k= -39

Hey buddy here is your answer

P(x) = 2x^2 + x + k

Factor = x - 3

         => x = 3

Then P(3) = 0

      =>(2*3)^2 + 3 + k = 0

      =>(6)^2 + 3 + k = 0

      =>36 + 3 + k = 0

      =>39 + k = 0

      =>k = -39

Hope it helps
