1) Here the poet refers for a man's winnings to be risked mainly directing to money and wealth. All what he has built in the past years is called his winnings.

2) One turn of pitch-and-toss is a gambling game in which the player who manages to throw a coin closest to a mark gets to toss all the coins, winning those that land with the head up. Here it shows the situation where if a man loses his all his winnings in a quick situation depending on one's fate like that of the game of pitch-and-toss.

3) The speaker says we shouldn't talk about our losses because that will bring you nothing but regret about what happened and it will hold you back from moving forward in life despite of everything that has happened in the past. If we don't talk about it or keep regretting it, and instead learn from our mistakes we will prove to be become a better person in life.
