By elimination method

2x+3y=6------eq 1

(2x+y=4)-3------eq2

now adding both the equations we get,

2x+3y=6

-6x-3y=-12

= -4x= -6

x=3/2

from eq 1

y=(6-2x)/3

=(6-2*2/3)/3

= 1

therefore point of intersection is (3/2, 1)
