Yes I partially agree with this. It improves economic efficiency and provides an important source of economic growth only when there is plenty of food for everyone.If the rate of flow of people to non agricultural activities is more then there will arise a disturbance in the production sector. As agriculture is a primary activity every activity is depended in it. If there are more consumers than producers cost of food products will rise which leads to famine as most people cannot afford them.
