1.when there is no zygote in uterus the uterus is lined by bed of blood vessels attached to uterus during menstrual cycle.
On not receiving zygote the blood vessels rupture and a heavy blood flow is discharged for a period of five days at most.
2. when uterus receives a zygote the condition is called pregnancy and the zygote gets embedded in the endometrium that is uterus and blood vessels formed provide support to the zygote.
3. placenta provides nourishment to the embryo and helps in diffusion and exchange of gases between the mother and the foetus.
