Step-by-step explanation:

Given  Mr. Mohan has rs 256 in the form of 1 and 2 coins. If the number of 2 coins are three more than twice  the number of 1 coins, find the total value of rs 2 coins.

  • Let one rupee coins be a
  • Let two rupee coins be 2a + 3
  • Now the equation will be
  • So a + 2(2a + 3) = 256
  • So a + 4a + 6 = 256
  • 5a + 6 = 256
  • So 5a = 250
  • Or a = 250 / 5
  • Or a = 50
  • Now number of 2 rupee coins will be 2 (50 ) + 3 = 103
