1) The types of meristems based on their position in the plant body

Ans:- Here are three types of meristems based on their position in the plant body:-

  1. Apical meristem : occurs at tip of shoots and roots.
  2. Intercalary meristem : occurs at stem regions.
  3. Lateral meristem : occurs at the cambium.

2) Types of simple tissues

Ans:- The three types of simple tissues are:-

  1. Parenchyma
  2. Collenchyma
  3. Sclerenchyma

Ans:- Two kinds of parenchyma:-

  1. Aerenchyma
  2. Storage parenchyma

4. Tissue that transports food in plants

Ans:- Phloem helps to store food in the body of plants. Sugar and amino acids are transported by leaves( consist kitchen of cell) to the several parts of plant.

5. The tissue represented by jute fibres used in making ropes.

Ans:- Sclerenchyma present in jute plants are used to make ropes. They have mechanical strength and lignin in cell walls, so that they are prefer to produce ropes.
