A group and VII A group

A highly ionic compound is formed by the combination of elements belonging to I A group and VII A group because I A group elements lose electrons easily (most electro-positive) and VII A group elements gain electrons easily (electro-negative). So, the compound formed by these elements can easily be ionised.
