(ii) Kezia tore her father's speech papers to make a pin cushion as a surprise for his birthday.
(iii) Kezia was called downstairs to get father who later beats her palms with a scale as a punishment.
(iv) Kezia wanted to surprise her father died his birthday. She laboriously stitches a pin cushion to please him. But she did a mistake by filling the cushion with her father's important speech papers. She pays a heavy pricer for it by getting beaten on her palms with a scale by her father. Therefore her surprise turned out to be a shock.
