In India, today we face environmental and developmental crisis. One one hand we have socioeconomic problems and on other we are facing environmental problems. India suffers chronic energy poverty. Many are still deprived of modern energy requirements. Many of us in India are still dependent on fossil fuels. The using of coal is the largest. But energy from these results in environmental and health cost. So the challenge before us is to use energy requirements without compromising ecology of the country. India has abundant sources of renewable sources of energy. We are provided with immense amount of solar,wind, water and other renewable sources of energy. They are renewable as well as it will also help in reducing our dependence on nonrenewable sources of energy. In addition we can set it up easily in most inhabitable areas too. Our future India needs energy resources for their requirements. So using renewable sources of energy helps in achieving sustainable development in India.
