Unemployment is said to exist when people who are willing to work at the given wages cannot find jobs. In case of rural areas there is seasonal and disguised unemployment.
1. Seasonal unemployment happens when people are not able to find jobs during some months of the year people dependent upon agriculture usually face such kind of problem. there are certain busy Seasons when sowing harvesting weeding and threshing is done and seasonal unemployment is seen.
2. In case of disguised unemployment people appeared to be employed but are actually not . they have agricultural plot where they find work . this usually happens among family members engaged in agricultural activity. their contribution does not affect the productivity and thus they are extra .
साधारण भाषा में ऐसा व्यक्ति जो काम करने का इच्छुक हो परंतु उसे काम नहीं मिल रहा है वह बेरोजगार कहलाता है ऐसी स्थिति को बेरोजगारी कहते हैं।
ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में अधिकतर मौसमी बेरोजगारी पाई जाती है।
