• Jagannatha, (Sanskrit: “Lord of the World”) represents the Hindu god lord Krishna is worshipped at Puri, Odisha (Orissa),  Ballabhpur,. The 12th-century temple of Jagannatha in Puri towers above all the divine spots of the town.

• The image is placed during a wagon so heavy that the efforts of many devotees are required to maneuver it, and it's dragged through deep sand to the house of the god. Thousands of pilgrims participate in several days of the journey.
• Reports of those processions within the past are much exaggerated, although accidents are common and sometimes a fanatical pilgrim attempts to throw himself under the wagon.
