B. Read the following passage and answer the questions that follow.
I was then in class 5th and was among the sincere students. One day, I was not feeling well. My
teacher permitted me to stay in class during assembly and told me to take care of her register and
pen. When the whole class went out, I decided to complete my homework. I saw my teacher's pen
and decided to work with it. I thought I would put the pen back on the table before the arrival of
the class. But unfortunately, I forgot to put the pen back on the table. When the teacher entered
the class and found her pen missing, she enquired about it from the whole class. I thought that
my class mates as well as my teacher could think of me as a thief. I kept quiet. Later when the bell
rang, I dashed out of the class and followed the teacher with her pen in my hand. I explained to
her the reason for not giving her the pen back in front of the class and when I, promptly, returned
the pen, tears flowed out of my eyes. I apologized to her. She said, "I know you are a good and
sincere girl and I also knew that you had taken my pen. But I didn't say anything because I
wanted you to come to me and tell me everything. You should have courage to speak the truth."
