Dear Amila
We have finally come on trip to Egypt, which we have been
planning for year! We travelled by plane to Cairo and from
there by bus to site of pyramids. Egypt is as fantastic as
brochures say. We saw Great Pyramids, of course. There was
restoration job going on around Sphinx, so we had to choose
camera angles very carefully to get best pictures. We spent
some time just walking around in spite of heat, taking in
many interesting sights all around.
Next day we took boat tour on Nile and we had lunch on
boat. It was delicious meal. There were beans and vegetables
dishes for vegetarians. Though they did not laste like Indian
dishes we have at home, they were among best dishes I have
had.
Tonight we will take overnight train to Aswan to see famous
dam and also visit Abu Simbel temples located nearby.
