Let PQ is a wall of height h.

Let QR is ladder and QR = 1.5 m.

Since ladder makes an angle 60° with the ground

i.e., ∠PRQ = 60°

From right angled ΔPQR

tan 60° = PQ/QR

⇒ √3 = h/1.5

h = 1.5 × √3

= 1.5 × 1.732 [∵ √3 = 1.732]

= 2.598 m

= 2.60 m

Hence, height of wall = 2.60 m
