Answer 1

Chromatography is a process of separating two or more solids mix I a liquid. In chromatography, solids are separated according to their solubility in water.Crystallization is a process of getting pure element by cooling a concentrated solution.Distillation is a process in which two miscible liquid are separated when the difference between their boiling point is more than 25 degree ccentrifugation is a process of separating a solid mix in liquid by taking the solution in a tube and moving the tube at a high speed. Due to the heaviness of soli, solid settle down in the tube.

Answer 2

Ammonium chloride is first separated from the mixture by heating. The technique of sublimation is used. Next, from a solution of salt and sand in water. Sand is insoluble in water and can be separated by filtration. The solution now contains only salt and water. Salt can be separated by heating the mixture as only salt will remain in the dish and water will be evaporated.

Answer 3

To separate alcohol from water fractional distillation technique. This technique is based on the difference in boiling points of the liquids. Alcohol and water have different boiling points. The boiling point of alcohol is less than that of water. The boiling point of water is 100ºC and the boiling point of alcohol is 78.7ºC.The mixture of alcohol and water is heated and the alcohol is first evaporated due to its low boiling point. Then the vapour is allowed to condense and cooled. The liquid obtained after this step is collected in a beaker. This liquid is alcohol. The same procedure is repeated for water. Now both the liquids are separated
