D: the name India is derived from the river India valley , where their was the home of the earlier settlement . the aryan worshippers referred to the river valley as shindu. the Persian invaders converted it into Indu. the Hindustan combines the word of Shindhu and Hindu and sindhu and these refers to as the land of Hindus.
