Answer: x = 10 and y = 6

Step-by-step explanation: multiplying the equation x/2 +2y/3 =-1 by 6 we get

3x + 4y = -6 and multiplying the second equation 2x - y = 29 by 4 we get

8x - 4y = 116

adding these two we get

11x = 110 which gives us

x = 10

substituting x = 10 in  3x + 4y = -6 we get

30 + 4y = -6

4y = 24

y = 6

Therefore x = 10 and y= 6
