- it furnish hydrogen ion in an aquous solution
- acids has the ph value 0-6
- e.g. HCL , HNO3 etc..
Base :-
- base have bitter taste
- base turns red litmus blue
- it furnish hydroxide ion in its aquous solution
- base has the ph value 8-14
- e.g. NaOH , KOH , etc...
