The first brother set out to find the best one for his father in every city and town. Another brother chose to travel by sea on fast ships. The last brother discovered a wounded bird. He stuffed it into his coat to keep it warm. He presented the bird to a young girl. With their gifts, the brothers returned home. When the monarch inquired about what the last brother had brought from him, he stated that all he had brought was friendship of his people.
