Answer:
45 Days
Step-by-step explanation:
Let say A complete work in A days
Then B completes the work in A + 5 Days
A got only Rs.524 out of the total of Rs.1310
=> A work = 524/1310 = 2/5
& B Work = (1310 - 524)/1310 = 3/5
Let say A & B Worked for X days together
A worked for X + 6 Days
B Worked for X + 17 Days
A's Work = (X + 6)/A & B's Work = (X + 17)/(A + 5)
(X + 6)/A = 2/5
=> 5X + 30 = 2A
=> 5X = 2A - 30
(X + 17)/(A + 5) = 3/5
=> 5X +85 = 3A + 15
=> 5X = 3A - 70
Equating 5X
2A - 30 = 3A - 70
=> A = 40
B completes the work in A + 5 Days = 40 + 5 = 45 Days
